The Technology and The Society

This article was a very difficult read, yet contained a lot of valuable information.  The most important concept that I learned from this article is the evolution of technology and it changes so much over time.  So many different types of technologies had to have developed in order to create the television we have today.  Electricity, radio, broadcasting, telegraph and countless others all impacted the evolution of television.

Even today the television is constantly changing.  Just the other day, I was playing the Xbox 360 at my cousin’s house in 3D! Being able to put on 3D glasses and see the game come out of the television screen was amazing.  I can’t even fathom what kind of things will appear in the future. Holographic video games, television programs that surround you and make you feel as if you’re in the scene.  There is just so much more purpose and change yet to be discovered in just that one technology alone.  Looking at where television has been only increases my imagination on where television can go.

  1. Jossshhuaa, I had a similar experience reading this article. At first, I found myself rereading sections to test my comprehension of the material. But the constant changing of television (and technology in general!) is fascinating. Just earlier, my boyfriend was describing a new television that Sony has in production, and it was some sort of 3D Television, with a smaller screen, but the ability to see multi screen, or some sort or other. I digress, but what I am trying to say is that the emergence of new technologies is propelling the television, which accentuates the evolution of tv!
